In the weekend of May 13, 14 and 15 of 2022, there were construction works on the line between Uitgeest and Amsterdam Centraal. Because of the planned construction works, the NS drove with a different schedule than usual. All Sprinters from off Uitgeest to Rotterdam Centraal, Utrecht Centraal and Driebergen-Zeist were cancelled. Instead, these Sprinters only drove up till Zaandam and then returned to Uitgeest again. The only way to get to Amsterdam for many was to wait at Zaandam on the few Intercities coming from Alkmaar and Den Helder that did go through to Amsterdam Centraal, which caused a lot of full Intercities between Zaandam and Amsterdam Centraal.
Today, Friday the 13th of May, you are driving one of these Sprinter services from off Uitgeest to Zaandam and back. Drive on time because many people need to catch the Intercity at Zaandam to get to Amsterdam.
