DB Donnerbüchsen
Due to a shortage of passenger carriages, it was decided in Germany to build a new, standardized fleet of local railway carriages. Due to their sound, caused by the steel carcass, they were given the name 'Donnerbüchsen': blunderbuss. There was also a demand for local railway carriages in other countries, and several types of carriages were thus created. Sometimes even made on frames of (old) freight wagons.
