Scenario's

  1. [2022 - BRB] [2022-BRB] RE 79025 München Hbf - Salzburg Hbf Deel 2

In this two-part scenario you drive the BRB RE 5 from Munich Hbf to Salzburg. In this second part you will drive on RSSLO's Salzburg - Rosenheim route from Rosenheim to Salzburg where this last part will end.

This is a realistic scenario. All AI passenger trains in the scenario will run according to the real 2022 timetable in effect in Germany.
The timetables of the freight trains in the scenario are fictitious. If you do not have a certain type of train or wagon, you can replace it yourself with, for example, RW-Tools for something else.

    Backgroundinformation
On April 15, 2010, the Public Transport Bureau of the Federal State of Bavaria, “die Bayerische Eisenbahngesellschaft (BEG)”, announced the tender for the "E-Netz Rosenheim". The E-Netz Rosenheim concession includes the RE 5 from München Hbf to Salzburg Hbf v.v., RB 54 from München Hbf to Kufstein v.v. and the RB 58 from Munich to Rosenheim via Holzkirchen v.v.

On December 9, 2010, Veolia Transport Deutschland (formerly Connex-grupe) was awarded a 12-year contract starting December 15, 2013 to take over from DB Regio AG Bayern and operate the E-Netz Rosenheim. Veolia subsidiary Bayerische Oberlandbahn GmbH operated the train services under the name Meridian. The Holzkirchen-based BOB has been operating the RB 55, 56, and 57 from Munich to Holzkirchen for some time, where the train splits into three to travel via the diesel network through the Bavarian Alphen to the final destinations of Bayrischzell, Lenggries and Tegernsee. After Veolia-Environment had moved out of rail and road transport, the BOB is now a subsidiary of Transdev.

In the spring of 2020, it was announced that instead of the three brands BRB, BOB and Meridian, only one would be used in the route networks of the Bayerischer Oberlandbahn and Bayerischer Regiobahn: "Bayerische Regiobahn", or BRB for short. Since June 2020, the E-Netz Rosenheim, formerly known as the Meridian network, has been operated as the Chiemgau-Inntal network under the name Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB).
