The HLD 54 is a series of diesel locomotives from the NMBS. Only 8 were built, four originally as series 204 (until 1971 the name of the HLD 54), four were converted series 202 locomotives (from the original order of the HLD 52). The series dates from 1957 and is based on the HLD 52, but the maximum speed is higher: 140 km / h instead of 120.
