Simultaneously with the SimTogether launch we announced the plan to extend the supported simulation games at SimTogether. As most of the improvements to the website are done and all Train Simulator projects up and running, it is time to take the next step.
 

We have seen a lot of news and beautiful videos of Microsoft Flight Simulator. We expect it to be a marvelous simulator in many aspects. Our enthusiasm is growing and we think many of you with us. For that reason we are going to focus on Microsoft Flight Simulator!
 

Of course we will continue support for Train Simulator in full force. The SimTogether-team will be working on Train Simulator as they always did. However Nathan (S1lentTed) will join the Flight Simulator teams besides his moderator role. Nathan spent a lot of hours in the virtual cockpit. We also welcome a new team member: Joost! Joost spent many hours in a virtual plane as well, but also knows how to get a real plane safely on the ground.
 

This small team will work on a special news page including all relevant Microsoft Flight Simulator news. But it is only the first step: in the near future we will be starting with many new Flight Simulator related features at SimTogether and slowly build support-channels on this subject.

Al bij de aankondiging van SimTogether hebben we de wens uitgesproken om meerdere simulatoren te gaan ondersteunen. Nu de basis van SimTogether staat, en de projecten voor Train Simulator lopen, is het tijd om naar de volgende simulator te kijken.
 

De afgelopen tijd hebben we veel nieuws en filmpjes van de nieuwe Microsoft Flight Simulator voorbij zien komen. Het belooft op alle fronten een prachtige simulator te worden en onze interesse is geprikkeld. Om die reden gaan we ons de komende tijd focussen op Flight Simulator!
 

Natuurlijk betekent dat niet dat we Train Simulator vergeten. De huidige teamleden blijven gewoon als van ouds met hun werkzaamheden bezig. Wel zal Nathan (S1lentTed) zich, naast zijn moderatietaken, ook met Flight Simulator bezig houden. Een logische keuze aangezien hij al vele uren in een virtueel vliegtuig heeft doorgebracht.
We hebben Joost als nieuw teamlid verwelkomd. Ook hij heeft al vele uren achter de virtuele stuurknuppel doorgebracht, maar heeft ook regelmatig een echt vliegtuig aan de grond gezet.
 

Met dit kleine team gaan we in eerste instantie werken aan een prachtige pagina waar al het nieuws over de nieuwe Flight Simulator gedeeld wordt. Dit is de eerste kleine stap, want in de nabije toekomst zullen er meer onderdelen rondom Flight Simulator toegevoegd gaan worden en zullen we de support hierop uitbreiden.
