Gildehaus ligt aan het grensbaanvak Oldenzaal - Bad Bentheim. De loc rijdt hier onder 1,5 kV gelijkspanning. Op station Bad Bentheim kan van spanning gewisseld worden, en zo zijn daar ook de locwissels met de Duitse locs.
