The HLD 62/63 is a Belgian locomotive with diesel-electric engine from the 1960s. Between 1961 and 1966 a total of 136 locomotive were delivered.
They were used to replace the last steam locomotives, on lines where there was no overhead line.
In 2003 they were taken out of service by the NMBS. Many locomotives have been transferred to infrastructure manager Infrabel. Like the HLD 6255.
