Updated software: new features and adjusted design

Hi all,

 

This week we have updated the website software to the latest version. This update results in a better design of SimTogether and some great new features.  I would like to explain in more detail these features because we think you'll love them. During the update we experienced some downtime for which we apologise. 

 

At first:

Bugs

Unfortunately we still need to solve some bugs. This will take some times. Known bugs are:

- The dark mode does not work correctly at the homepage. We hope to solve this by the end of next week. 

- We are waiting for an update to the live stream application. We expect to solve this bug next week as well. Until this time the live stream page is not available.

- For the Screenshot Competition application we are waiting for an update as well. However we think that this will take longer. We try to bring the screenshot competition back in November.  

 

The new features:

Better design

The theme has completely rebuild which results in a better design and we tried to make it clearer to find the topics you are looking for. 

 

Create your own header

At the top of the website you can now change to your own header. Upload a cover photo in your profile and you will be able to use that photo as header. 

 

 

Footer

We have re-build the footer. Less is more. If you miss something, just let us know. 

 

Restyled menu

We've made also some changes to the menu. In the old style for some users it was unclear how to download purchased items. The link to your purchases is now integrated as sub item in the menu. Another change is that we have integrated the tutorials in the menu, We think that it will be now easier to find the tutorials. We hope that more users will share their knowledge!
