    2. Major update released for ChrisTrains DD-AR, DDZ and ICNG

The ICNG has a new cruise control system based on the latest software in use at NS, as well as corrections and additions to the cabviews, some modified traction and braking physics. And of course the ICNG-B will be included in this update.

         - New exterior textures for 'Flow' colour scheme
         - End wagons have the extra chopper on the roof
         - Two new master destinations ONLY available in the ICNG : Antwerpen-Centraal and Brussel-Zuid/Midi
         - Voltage options for Belgian 25kV and 3kV systems
      - Adjusted the 3100 and 3200 versions to have the new more yellow nose, to match the actual trains now in service
      - Added some power to traction as the original was a little slow compared to the real thing
      - In the cab:
          - Fixed the "always on" traction block indicator on the right MFD screen
          - Fixed the high voltage indicator on the right MFD screen
          - Fixed the 'door closed' light so it's mostly white
          - Removed the central door control button as it is now deleted from the real train
          - Fixed the wheel slip light (it was mistakenly associated with the holding brake)
      - New more prototypical cruise control function
         - behaves more as a speed limiter now
         - the throttle now determines the amount of power the cruise system can use
         - braking does not disengage the cruise limiter but DOES override the cruise calculated brakes
         - you MUST have throttle for the cruise system to be able to accelerate
         - New shortcuts for the MFD screen controls (CTRL-0 to CTRL-9)
         - C and Y shortcuts re-assigned to MFD buttons 8 and 7
         - if the cruise system is turned off while the throttle is engaged, a throttle reset is required
         - Method (a) for setting cruise: open the cruise screen on the MFD, throttle to zero, pick a speed on the MFD (CTRL1-CTRL6), click the accept button on the MFD (CTRL-8 or C), throttle to power
         - Method (b) for setting cruise: open the cruise screen on the MFD, throttle to zero, click the cruise accept button on the MFD to lock in the current speed (CTRL-8 or C), throttle to power

ICNG scenarios have been updated for HSL 3.0

Succes!

For all members that purchased the ICNG on SimTogether, we have published three fresh scenarios for the HSL 3.0 route. Due to the recent update, the previous scenarios were broken and couldn't be played anymore. We realized that updating of those scenario would be very difficult and complex. The good news is that three fresh scenarios are now available for download!

The scenarios can be downloaded in your account: https://simtogether.com/clients/purchases/. The scenarios are available at the product page of the ICNG.

      Brief description:
Today you're in charge of the Intercity to Brussels. Starting point is Watergraafsmeer and the rolling stock is quite special: an ICNG as a 'regular' Traxx has broken down yesterday. A new train is waiting at Breda and will bring the passengers to Belgium. This scenario consists of three parts. It will be a very interesting and challenging journey. Good luck!

ChrisTrains has released small patches for Flirt3, ICM, SLT, ICNG, SNG and VIRM

After the big mid-life update a few weeks ago, naturally a couple of minor items cropped up that I missed. There are now small patches available in your SimTogether account that fix these issues. You do NOT need to download and re-install the complete product again - just use the patches. (Then you do not need to use up an activation code). The trains that have new patches available are the Flirt3, ICM, SLT, ICNG, SNG and VIRM.

Please download the patches in your account.

      Wilbur Graphics website vernieuwd

      Wilbur Graphics website vernieuwd

    4. Huge update for almost all ChrisTrains trains

      Twee zeer belangrijke zaken:

      https://simtogether.com/clients/purchases/

The time has come for the biggest mid-life update ChrisTrains products have ever seen. Included in this update are the Stadler Flirt 3, SLT, SNG, ICNG, VIRMm (and IRM) and ICMm (and ICM). In addition, most of the freight wagons have also seen an update - Hbbkkss, Sgns, Klmos, FCCPPS, Slmmnps, LAAERS, GTOW, Gbs, Z-wagons and Tads.
And of course these updates are free for all existing customers.

PLEASE read the release notes for each train or wagon after installation, as these notes list everything that has changed in each model. The release notes are normally found in the top-level folder for each train, for example: F:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\ChrisTrains\NS SNG\RailVehicles. If something is NOT mentioned in the release notes, it is NOT in the update. For example the ICNG does NOT have the NS 'Flow' version yet as this is not just a paint change, but a model change for the across-border version for Belgium (including cab changes and adding a chopper to the roof). This will come later.

For the passenger trains, the single biggest change in all of these updates is the updated/enhanced ATB functionality. It has taken a lot of work and basically meant re-writing 90% of the old ATB code. However, the system is now much closer to what you would find in the real trains. PLEASE read at least one of the handbooks to familiarise yourself with how ATB now works in these trains.

The major things you'll notice that are quite different:
      - ATB responds to COHA signal-enforced limits
      - The distance from a lower limit where ATB will respond is now now based on the official ProRail published distances (my old ATB was hard-coded to 1km for every limit). This means that some routes might 'ambush' you with lower limits if their lower limit speed limit warning signs are in the wrong place.
      - There is an "analog" delay of about 3 seconds from the train registering a change in speed limit (higher or lower), to the cab indicators changing. This is true-to-life to the real ATB system.
      - ATB will change to higher limits as the nose of the train passes the limit, not the tail (like it used to)
For the freight wagons, the changes are mostly cosmetic, along with some sound updates, and the ability now to have either a flashing red light (knipperbol) or painted end-of-train plate (sluitplaat) on the last wagon in a consist. This choice is performed by adding a 'k', 'n' or 's' to the end of the wagon number in the consist editor. PLEASE read the release notes for each wagon as this information is contained in the notes.

      Two very important issues:
      (1) I have tried hard to make these updates as backward-compatible as possible. However, there are bound to be certain things that simply won't work any more, including any scenario where the player has to couple two different consists together as part of the scenario (this won't work because in many cases the internal wagon numbers have changed to accomodate pre-set destinations), and scenarios that start with the train already in motion.
      (2) There is an extremely high chance that older repaint packs will not work after this update. This is because of the sheer number of changes to controls in the cabs that the older repaint files will not contain. I would recommend NOT trying to re-install older repaint packs after this update until the authors of those packs have had chance to bring their repaints into compatibility.

The updates are now available on SimTogether. The updates can be downloaded here: https://simtogether.com/clients/purchases/

Because this considered to be a major update, all activation keys will be reset to zero (10 activations remaining)
