BB 17000
The BB 17000 are single-circuit electric locomotives 25 000 volts of the National Society of French Railways (SNCF). Put in circulation from 1965 to 1968 on the lines from Paris-Saint-Lazare and Paris-Nord, they ensured the traction of fast trains on relations like Paris - Le Havre or Paris - Lille. These machines were used to tow commuter trains from or to three Parisian stations, to pull rapids and express or heavy goods trains until the 2000s. They have been phased out since 2007.
