Met ingang vanaf vandaag zijn er een aantal wijzigingen in het SimTogether team: Helaas hebben @Mertjuuh(Merten) en @MiniCheat(Davey) besloten om het team te verlaten. Het afgelopen jaar hebben zij veel betekend voor SimTogether, maar helaas kunnen zij niet meer de tijd vinden door werk en studie. Iets wat uiteraard voorgaat op SimTogether. Langs deze weg wil ik Merten en Davey ontzettend bedanken voor hun bijdrage aan het team, de website en de Discord! Op een volgend SimTogether teamuitje, zullen we zeker nog gepast afscheidvan Merten en Davey nemen. Van de gelegenheid wil ik ook gebruik maken om te delen dat @yeet-_- en @EsméevRde overstap naar het moderatieteam op Discord zullen maken. De software van TreinPunt bleek verouderd en de toekomstverwachting van de software was destijds niet erg rooskleurig. Iets wat ook is uitgekomen. De huidige software is robuust, erg veilig, en bevat veel nieuwe features. TreinPunt.NL dient op dit moment enkel als archief. Ook kunnen leden die een aankoop op TreinPunt.NL hebben gedaan, hun producten nog steeds downloaden. Dit gaat veranderen. Ik wil je met dit bericht informeren dat we TreinPunt.NL gaan uitfaseren. Gelet op de impact zullen we dit zeer gefaseerd doen. In dit bericht zal ik je gedetailleerd uitleggen waarom we dit doen en hoe we dit zo zorgvuldig mogelijk zullen vormgeven. Waarom de uitfasering? De reden van de uitfasering is dat de software waarop TreinPunt.NL staat, veroudert. Op dit moment is de software veilig, maar deze garantie moet richting de toekomst ook af te geven kunnen zijn. Om de risico’s voor jou als gebruiker te beperken, kiezen we er nu tijdig voor om TreinPunt uit te faseren. Juist omdat we dit tijdig doen, hebben we er alle tijd voor en kunnen we dit proces zorgvuldig doen. Wat gebeurt er met mijn aankopen op TreinPunt.NL? Een terechte en logische vraag. De meeste aankopen op TreinPunt.NL zijn van de uitgever ChrisTrains. In samenspraak met ChrisTrains, zullen alle aankopen die gedaan zijn op TreinPunt worden overgenomen door ChrisTrains. De belangrijkste overweging hiervoor is dat de overname door ChrisTrains het meest gebruiksvriendelijke is voor jou als gebruiker. Als jouw e-mailadres nog niet bekend is, is de verwerking nog niet afgerond. Download je product dan nog even via TreinPunt.NL. Welke gegevens zijn er met ChrisTrains gedeeld? De gegevens die met ChrisTrains zijn gedeeld, is uitsluitend e-mailadres. Alle overige gegevens zijn niet gedeeld met ChrisTrains. ChrisTrains zal de gegevens uitsluitend gebruiken voor het ter beschikking stellen van toekomstige downloads. Dus niet voor een nieuwsbrief bijvoorbeeld. Wettelijk kader ChrisTrains en SimTogether zijn een verwerkersovereenkomst overeengekomen. De uitwisseling van deze data is gebaseerd op basis van een overeenkomst tussen ChrisTrains en SimTogether. Hoe ziet de uitfasering er verder uit? Zoals vermeld starten we met de webshop, die stopt per 1 november 2022. Alle gegevens worden dan vernietigd van de server. Separaat houd ik een lijst met alle aankopen, zodat de informatie beschikbaar blijft. Deze lijst bevat uitsluitend voornaam, achternaam en e-mailadres. Vanaf 1 november zullen we gefaseerd het forum uitfaseren. Voor de downloads geldt dat we een proces zullen starten waarbij je kan aangeven welke downloads nog overgezet naar SimTogether zouden moeten worden. Waar mogelijk, zullen we dat doen. In sommige gevallen zal dat niet gaan in verband met de copyright. We streven ernaar om begin januari 2023 TreinPunt.NL uit te zetten. Alle gegevens en data worden dan vernietigd van de server. The existing software of SimTogether is very robust, safe and contains several new features. TreinPunt is serving as an archive right now. Furthermore, members who purchased software at TreinPunt.NL are able to re-download the software. I’d like to inform you that this is going to change soon. We are starting to phase out TreinPunt.NL very carefully. In this communication I’ll inform you in more detail about the reason and the foreseen impact for you as a member. Why is TreinPunt.NL being phased out? The main reason for this decision is that the software of Treinpunt.NL is getting out of date. Obviously, the software is completely safe at this moment. We hebben de ervaring voor mobiele gebruikers op SimTogether verder verbeterd. In de oude situatie had je rechtsboven de optie om in het menu te zoeken. Dit is naar onderen verplaatst. Dit gaf de gelegenheid om de meest gebruikte links default beschikbaar te maken. In dit bericht heb ik een screenshot toegevoegd ter illustratie. Je kunt nu bijvoorbeeld in een keer een bericht plaatsen. Als je vragen of andere suggesties hebt, horen we dat uiteraard graag! We have further improved the mobile experience at SimTogether. We have moved the ability to search through the navigation bar to the bottom. This means that we are now able to add direct links to the most common used features of the website. Voor het starterspack is alleen het European Assets en Loco pakket nodig. Zeker als je Train Simulator verder uitbreidt, is het US Loco & Asset pack ook aanbevolen. In dat geval zou je dus inderdaad de Portsmouth Direct Line kunnen kopen! De Ruhr Sieg Line is, behoudens sales op Steam, het goedkoopste als je alleen het European Assets & Loco pakket nodig hebt.

Coha heeft een nieuwe versie uitgebracht van het Nederlandse seinenpakket. Versie 4.0 is nu te downloaden op de versie van Coha. Maar is er meer: Coha heeft namelijk ook een nieuw pakket uitgebracht: Stopborden pakket v1.0. Twee mooie nieuwe updates, waar ongetwijfeld veel tijd en energie is gaan zitten!
