  1. Made a quick-and-dirty repaint of the Schneider diesel-electrics (NS 2200) beautifully provided by ChrisTrains to match the CITEV organisation's engines (ex MSN 902/906). The fronts look acceptable, while the cabin sides do not so well agree with the little 'snouts' and front windows of the French makes. I found only a handful of original photographs in the web (e.g. fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_à_vapeur_des_Cévennes). I'd have no problems to share my private texture edits, provided that ChrisTrains allowed.

  2. Have been travelling to southern France and have backdated the traffic on the 'St-Jean-du-Gard' route (available from rwcentral.com)  into the 1960s. It was done by globally linking the DTG/LGVMedSouth traffic manager objects as well as the route's scenery items for parked cars out to the beautiful sets of classic cars provided by PierreG (via RailSim-FR.com).

  3. Dear Gerwil, I can guess at what you are writing in Dutch, but unfortunately I have to reply in English or German. I have started the same kind of activities (e.g. swapping the cars in routes for backdating, constructing buildings, etc.). I'd be happy to exchange the experiences with you. Best regards, Markus from Horgen CH
I very much appreciate suggestions and discussions about the use of the RW Enhancer Pro. The perfect settings always depend on your way to look at things (focus on landscape, engines, exteriors, interiors, time of day, weather) and the making of the route and models that you are using. I understand that the set of settings at hand is optimised for steam engines. My focus is more on landscape which i prefer in less vivid colors. As to the engines, in my opinion and with my steam engines, the factor most troubling to my eye is that they cast totally unnatural headlight flares through the landscape. The tool allows to just switch them off in the section 'Light Sources': tick 'No spot light shadows' and 'No spot and point lights specular'. Attached is a screenshot comparison between the STUL settings (top) and my settings (bottom) with the headlight flares suppressed. YT-Scenario-03.rar

  5. Backdated situation at Sargans with level crossing and corrected sun position (original route template replaced)
  6. Vacation resort 'Village des Aloës' added to the french Cote Vermeille route near the border station Cerbère.
  7. Gave me a try in modeling a vintage model railroad with TSC. Made videos of my first draft result (see my youtube channel).20240903215448_1.thumb.jpg.ec1aad11e4a5ffba630b4ef3fa6bb255.jpg
